Fe-6.5wt%Si/SrFe12O19 composites with different SrFe12O19 contents are prepared and their soft magnetic properties are investigated. SEM morphology shows that Fe-6.5wt%Si spheres are separated by SrFe12O19 small powders. Magnetic hysteresis loop measurement indicates that the saturation magnetization of all composites is more than 200 emu/g. Magnetic loss analysis reveals that Fe-6.5wt%Si/SrFe12O19 composites have excellent loss characteristics and SrFe12O19 can be used as insulating agent in SMCs.
