We propose a structural-probability approach to the description of deformation of elastoplastic materials. The probability nature of the proposed approach is connected with the random character of distribution of the yield strength in the deformed structural elements of the material. The differences between the yield strengths of structural elements are determined by the anisotropy of their properties and different orientations relative to the direction of the acting stress. According to the proposed approach to the description of plastic strains, the observed effects, such as hardening under primary and repeated loading, etc., are explained by the specific features of variations of the concentration of plastic elements in the process of loading.
