Structural and thermodynamic properties of the NaNO3–NaClO4 eutectic system and its composites with nanosized oxides of aluminum and magnesium were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). It has been established that nanocrystalline alumina in NaNO3–NaClO4–RxOy composites exerts a greater influence on the enthalpy of fusion of the eutectic both with the same molar fractions and with the same mass fractions of oxides than magnesium oxide. Thermal properties of the eutectic are affected by specific surface and nature of the nanoscale oxide.
