Fe-Sb mixed metal oxides were tested as potential catalysts of selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3 (NH3-SCR). The novel catalyst FeSbOδ showed high catalytic activity and N2 selectivity in the temperature range from 200 to 400 °C. XRD results hinted that a new phase of FeSbO4 was formed in the Fe-Sb based catalysts. NH3-TPD, H2-TPR and in situ DRIFTS results also suggested that there is a synergetic effect between Fe and Sb species. The effect not only increases the acidity of the catalyst surface, but also enhances the redox properties of the catalysts, and all of these enhancements were responsible for the high NH3-SCR performance.
