The paper discusses the multipurpose use of technogenic and natural raw aluminous materials for extracting valuable components, while solving environmental issues. The authors analyzed the process of granulating kaolin, obtained from the Ural region, which involves the addition of aqueous sulfuric acid solution and subsequent firing of the granules. Sulfuric-acid leaching of kaolin-containing raw materials at various acid concentrations and precipitate production times was considered. A certification of the obtained aluminum hydroxide powders was performed.
