In this work, the performance of the free space optical (FSO) link is analyzed at different events of fog. We have considered the case study of Pakistan, which defines fog events at different visibilities among four major cities, i.e. Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Sukkur. The FSO links are simulated using Opti-system 7.0 software and the link performance is analyzed by means of quality of received signal (Q-factor) at receiver. We have considered the visibility ranges which are most likely to occur in Pakistan and also consider different fog attenuation models like Kruse, Kim, Al-Naboulsi (Advection and Radiation) to calculate the fog attenuation at different visibility ranges.
