Colorectal sarcomatoid carcinoma is a rare disease with distinct carcinomatous and sarcomatoid components, and there are few reported cases reported in the literature. 1–3 It is characterized by rapid tumor growth and early metastasis, with median survival estimated at less than 6 months. 1, 2, 4 There are no evidence-based treatment guidelines, and prior cases have been managed similarly to colonic adenocarcinomas. 5
