We recently read the paper entitled "Acupoint catgut embedding alleviates insomnia in different Chinese medicine syndrome types: a randomized controlled trial" by XU, et al. The article elaborated on the effect and safety evaluation of acupoint catgut embedding for different Chinese medicine (CM) syndrome types of insomnia. As a randomized controlled trial article, it has rigorous design, clear inclusion and exclusion criteria, reasonable grouping, and sufficient sample size. By comparing the 3 methods of treating insomnia, it concluded that the acupoint catgut embedding had better curative effect. We admire their huge workload and explicit trial conclusions.
