By adding a small amount of calcium to the starting composition, Li0.36Nd0.36Bi0.14Na0.14TiO3, oxygen vacancies are suppressed and, therefore, the microwave properties are enhanced. This study not only obtained a kind of ceramic with excellent microwave dielectric properties, εr ∼ 160, Q × f ∼ 1300 GHz and τf ∼ 10 ppm/°C, but also gives a way to optimize the compositions with various donor and acceptor dopants for better performance in microwave ceramics.
