The liquid–liquid equilibrium (LLE) data for two ternary systems of water + cyclohexene + dimethyl sulfoxide and water + cyclohexanone + dimethyl sulfoxide were measured at 295.15 K and 99.32 kPa. The reliability of the tie-line data was confirmed using Bachman and Othmer–Tobias equations. The results of mathematical modelling of LLE with the use of the NRTL model were compared with experimental data. The experimental and calculated data were found to be in a good agreement.
