In this paper, we introduce an iteration scheme for viscosity approximation of zeros of accretive operators and solutions to fixed point problems in q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces with a weakly continuous duality mapping. A new iterative algorithm is introduced and strong convergence of the sequences generated by this algorithm is proved. Our results improve and extend corresponding ones announced by many others.
