A multiphysics model, used for predicting jet velocity by solving incompressible Navier-Stokes equations coupled with electric volume force, has been developed to simulate the three-dimensional polymer jet produced during electrospinning process. By varying the parameter values in the model, the effects of parameters, including flow rate and viscosity of polymer solution, spinneret diameter, and applied voltage on jet velocity are discussed. This model is validated by comparing with experimental results.
