Cardiac amyloidosis (CA) is characterized by the deposition of insoluble misfolded proteins in the myocardium. CA is classified based on the type of protein accumulating in the myocardium with two main recognized subtypes: transthyretin (ATTR) CA and light-chain (AL) CA. Recently, there has been emerging interest in using F-sodium fluoride (F-NaF) positron emission tomography (PET) to evaluate ATTR CA.
