Resources. S.K. Tripathi, Chitrakoot discussed the natural resources mapping of Banda district using geospatial technology. He stated that geospatial techniques support the resource managers to develop better plan, implement the plan for better management and modeling for the future resources availability and management action. S.K. Nage, Jabalpur presented paper on morphometric analysis based prioritization of Kair sub-watershed of Hiran river basin. B. Sharma, Sandeep Pandey and G. P. Pandey have also presented their research papers. The second session was chaired by Prof. I.P. Tripathi, Chitrakoot and Prof. D.K. Deolia, Jabalpur. P. Bhisekar,Africa and Dr. B.S. Mathur M.D. delivered keynote lectures. P. Bhisekar discussed the petroleum resourcespresent and future in global scenario. B.S. Mathur elaborated about occupational diseases: causes & prevention. He stated that there are three components: man and physical, chemical and biological agent; men and machine and man and man which affect the human health. Rakesh Singh discussed the occurrence of fluoride in groundwater in major parts of Madhya Pradesh. Shrutika Singh highlighted hydrochemical investigation for irrigation purpose in and around Mukundpur area, Satna district, central India. Sandeep Shukla discussed the role of karstification in groundwater resources of Raghuraj Nagar, district Satna, M.P. Vikash Kushwaha discussed the delineation of artificial recharge zones and watershed management using geospatial techniques in a part of Panna district, Madhya Pradesh. Other papers were presented by Rakesh Tripathi, Rashmi Dwivedi and P. K. Tiwari. In the third session, N.K. Dutta, former D.G., GSI and D.K. Jha Ex-Director, GSI and S. K. Singh, Bhutan, presented keynote papers. Dutta gave a detailed picture of Industrial minerals. He stated that about 571000 sq km of the Indian sub-continent hold potential for mineral deposits of which only about 15% area has been explored. Some important points discussed by Dutta are (i) with the increase in demand for metal as well as its price, production in deposits whose production costs were previously higher than the existing price can be restarted, or (ii) as higher quality reserves at existing operations are The International Conference entitled “Natural Resources, Environment and Health (ICNREH-2017)” was organized by the Department of Geology, Govt. Model Science College Rewa, Madhya Pradesh India on 28th -29th March, 2017. The conference was started in the presence of N.K. Dutta, Former Director General, Geological Survey of India as a chief guest, M.K. Durai chief conservator forest Rewa Division, P. Bhisekar Geologist, Angola (Africa), Dr. V.K. Shrivastava, Additional Director Higher Education, Rewa Division, Rewa as special guests, Prof. R. P. Mishra as Patron and Prof. Rabindra Nath Tiwari as convener of the International Conference. N.K. Dutta as chief guest appreciated the conference and stated that economic development, social and environmental degradation are always linked. Suitable management approach of the mineral resources is the need of the hour. Mining and utilization industry are at the root of sustainable development for the world at large and India in particular. Bhisekar emphasized the importance of petroleum resources. Durai discussed the biodiversity of Indian Subcontinent. Shrivastava gave a picture of economic exploitation of natural resources. Prof. Mishra delivered the welcome speech and Prof. R. N. Tiwari highlighted the objectives of the conference. During the inaugural session Prof. R. N. Tiwari convener of the International Conference, Head Department of Geology, Govt. Model Science College Rewa, conferred lifetime achievement award to N.K. Dutta for his contribution to Earth Science, to Prof. D.P. Dubey for his contribution in teaching and research, to D.K. Jha Ex-director GSI for exploration in earth science and N.C. Misra, Vice President, J.K. Cement, for mining and environment. The first technical session (28th March, 2017) was chaired by Dr. Rakesh Singh, Scientist CGWB Allahabad and Prof. Sanjay Tignath, Jabalpur. Dr. N.C. Misra, V.P., J.K. Cement, Bhopal, Dr. G.K. Pradhan, A.K.S. University Satna and Dr. S.K. Tripathi M.G.C., G.V. Chitrakoot delivered keynote lectures. Dr. Mishra delivered his talk on “Natural resources Eco-Economy and Environment: The Belligerent Insight”. He stated that the exploitation of natural resources on one hand is essential; however, is virtually destructive on the other hand. G.K.
