In this work, the plastic deformation behaviour of polycrystalline molybdenum (Mo) in the temperature range 298–1073 K has been analysed using compression tests. The investigation comprises of the deformation behaviour as well as microstructural evolution. The response of Mo to plastic deformation at 298 K and 1073 K has been contrasted and explained using strain hardening, strain rate sensitivity and microstructural justifications.
