The complete mitogenome sequence of Chinese Shrew (Sorex sinalis) was determined in this study. The mitogenome is a circular molecule of 17,216 bp in length, containing 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosome RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes and two non-coding regions. Recently, Chinese Shrew has been listed as Data Deficient by the IUCN red list of threatened animals and Near Threatened by the red list of China’s vertebrates. The new sequenced complete mitogenome of S. sinalis would provide useful information for application in conservation genetics and evolution for the endemic species of China.
