In this work, we report the synthesis, characterization, crystal structure, and thermal and antibacterial studies of a new nano-sized copper(I) thiosemicarbazone complex prepared by an ultrasonic bath assisted synthesis in an acetonitrile solution. Characterization of the complex and its ligand (EHB-tsc = 3-ethoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde-thiosemicarbazone) was performed using elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C-NMR, UV–Vis spectroscopy, thermal gravimetry, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In addition, the complex was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.
