This paper investigates the effect of couple stresses on the propagation of nonlinear pulse wave from the heart through a tapered coronary artery. Analysis is done with the assumption that blood is a non-homogeneous fluid. Hence, the presence of the erythrocytes suggests the Stokes couple stress constitutive model. The equation governing the fluid flow are modeled, non-dimensionalized and solved by using reductive perturbation method.
