Abstract Joint and separate designs for impulse noise and large scale single frequency noise mitigation are proposed to ensure high robustness in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Iterative design is used to obtain a better performance. Simulation results and experimental results are show that the proposed methods are efficient to mitigate interference and improve system performance. Furthermore, joint large scale single frequency noise and impulse noise mitigation method is better than other proposed methods.
