Abstract This paper reports the fabrication and characterization of the extended piezoelectric properties of Ba-deficient BaZnO2 (Ba1−xZnO2) nanowires. The study highlights can be summarized as follows: (1) a facile fabrication method of Ba1−xZnO2 through pH modulation using solvothermal synthesis is developed, (2) impurities are minimized and the morphology of Ba1−xZnO2 is tailored using various substrates, and (3) the piezotronic and piezophototronic properties of Ba1−xZnO2 are characterized.

Keywords: using solvothermal; fabrication; piezotronic piezophototronic; ba1 xzno2; characterization; solvothermal synthesis
