Abstract This work presents new implementation of an iterative method proposed by Temimi and Ansari namely (TAM) for approximate solutions of differential algebraic equations that arises in many engineering and applied sciences applications. The solution is obtained with easy computed components without any restrictive assumptions to deal with the nonlinear terms. The numerical results obtained by TAM are better accuracy and faster convergence in comparison to the homotopy perturbation method. Error analysis of the approximate solution is studied using the absolute error and high convergence is achieved. A symbolic manipulator Mathematica®10 was used to evaluate terms in the iterative process.
