Abstract This research was executed to predict and discuss the rutting behavior of marl soil treated with foamed sulfur asphalt (FSA) with the mixtures of the same soil treated with standard foamed asphalt (FA) for road bases structure. Marl soil-FA/FSA mixtures at their optimal binder contents were evaluated for creep tests at three different deviator stress and at 40 °C temperature. The wheel track test was conducted at 40 °C temperature. Rutting of the treated mixtures at their optimal asphalt contents was modeled using ABAQUS software and outputs of models were compared with the experimental observation and calibrated using wheel tracking tests results. The calibrated models can well predict the rutting performance of marl stabilized mixtures.
