Abstract Iso-conversional study is the model free approach which is applied to the crystallization kinetics, to estimate kinetic parameters of crystallization at a given conversion fraction (α). In this paper, we have applied two important Iso-conversional methods namely Kissinger–Akahira–Sunose (KAS) method and Friedman to study the variation of activation energy Ec and Avrami exponent, n, with the conversion fraction (α). These methods showed that the activation energy of crystallization is not constant but varies with the degree of conversion which suggests that the examined glasses follow multi-step kinetics during thermally activated crystallization.
