Highlights • The present study aims to investigate the ability of certain isolated fungi (living and dried) to reduce the level of uranium, thorium from the laboratories waste water.• Study the effect of physical and chemical pretreatment of different fungal biomasses on biosorption of uranium, thorium.• Reduces the amount and/or toxicity of hazardous waste to minimizing its damage to the environment to work in a safe, healthy and clean environment, in line with the principles of ecology.
