Highlights • Bacillus altitudinis strain 19_A genome was studied.• The genome of B. altitudinis strain 19_A is ∼3.7 Mb long, has a G + C content of 41.2 %.• A total of 3,967 protein-coding genes were predicted.• Some of the enzymes may play a role in the macroalgal polysaccharide depolymerization process.• Enzyme repertoire of B. altitudinis may have promising biotechnological applications.
