Abstract In this study we have developed a system for evaluating the flow field around a massive stadium, where a grand mass gymnastics and artistic performance would be held by 100,000 participants. The purpose of this study is to understand the flow field behavior formed around the stadium, above where 150 drones are to flight in order to describe the title of the performance in the air. This system combines the ENVI-met that simulate the spatial and temporal microclimate and the Fluent that presents the detailed airflows on building scale. Simulation results for the complex-shaped stadium at microscale show that the proposed simulation method is capable of evaluating the detailed airflow with reasonable accuracy. This paper outlines the system and examines its performance by comparing its results with measured data. This system is expected to be a helpful recommended practice for developing the navigational system of drones and for ensuring the great performance in the stadium.
