Abstract The indoor light environment significantly affects the subjective feeling and work experience of personnel. The subjective feeling and pattern reversal visual evoked potential (PRVEP) of indoor personnel under different illuminance levels were tested in the field, and the correlation between the subjective feeling and objective physiological parameters was explored using fuzzy entropy analysis. The fuzzy entropy of the PRVEP and subjective voting values (stimulation and eye fatigue) under different illuminance levels first decreased and then increased with an increase in illumination. The fuzzy entropy of the PRVEP and subjective voting values were lowest at 700 lx, and the human visual nervous system was the least stimulated, with good visual comfort. There was a strong correlation between the fuzzy entropy of PRVEP and subjective voting. The communication between the environment and human body, subjective feeling, and objective response was determined by solving the mathematical relationship between the fuzzy entropy of PRVEP and subjective voting. A method of evaluating the subjective psychological changes in the human body using objective physiological parameters was obtained, and combined with subjective and objective indicators, a recommended illumination comfort zone was proposed.
