ciHHV-6 (chromosomally-integrated HHV-6) is an uncommon cause of myocarditis but may be underdiagnosed. We describe a case of reactivated ciHHV-6 myocarditis successfully treated with antiviral therapy. Our case demonstrates the need for a greater awareness of ciHHV-6 as an etiology of myocarditis, as prompt treatment can improve outcomes.
