Abstract A Pd-NiO/Y(Ba) 2 O 3 developed catalyst shows high activity to selective NO x reduction into N 2 (yield ~ 70%) with C 3 H 6 under oxygen excess conditions. Y(Ba) 2 O 3 support material is active to NO direct decomposition at high temperatures and is considered to selectively adsorb NO. By depositing NiO and Pd simultaneously, high NO selective reduction activity is exhibited around 200 °C and the activity is hardly affected by the addition of water in the feed stream.
