Abstract MnO 2 -Fe 2 O 3 catalysts were successfully deposited on the surface of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) filter felt by a redox method, and the as-obtained catalytic filter material was tested in the low-temperature NH 3 -SCR. NO conversions in the 79.8–99.2% range at 140–180 °C and a gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) of 120,000 cm 3  g − 1  h − 1 were obtained, result which is attributed to the presence of amorphous MnO 2 and Fe 2 O 3 catalytic phases. The formation mechanism of the MnO 2 -Fe 2 O 3 catalyst decorated on the polyphenylene sulfide filter felt is discussed.
