Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) can be overexpressed in thymic tumors. PSMA positron emission tomography/computed tomography is a whole-body procedure, and pitfalls and variants are frequently described in literature. Radioligand therapies represent a new alternative treatment in patients with advanced prostate cancer. Their use in other malignancies could be considered in the near future, if high PSMA expression in those tumors is confirmed.
