Abstract Herein, size-controllable nanostructure of anatase TiO2 with an interestingly baguetten-like morphology has been successfully prepared by a facile one-pot hydrothermal approach for the first time. When tested as a potential anode for lithium-ion batteries, the as-prepared TiO2-0.05 M exhibits impressive lithium storage performance, delivering a reversible capacity of 117.2 mAh g−1 at 1 C after even 1300 cycles. Moreover, the results indicate that the rational nanostructure of TiO2-0.05 M should be responsible for thus impressive lithium storage performance.
