Abstract We report a new efficient analytical representation of the molar enthalpy for gaseous substances. The predicted molar enthalpy values are in good agreement with the experimental data in a wide temperature range for the gases Cl2, Br2, and gaseous BBr. The present enthalpy prediction model does not need of a great number of experimental spectroscopy data, and requires only three molecular constants, for which the experimental values can be easily obtained in the literature.
