Abstract Herein, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs)/rGO with different weight percentages of AgNPs is synthesized for NO2 detection. Results show AgNPs/rGO nanocomposites demonstrate enhanced sensing response and shorter response time, and the 28.4 wt% AgNPs loading sample appears twice response (40%-15 ppm NO2) as that of rGO. Thus, AgNPs decoration has great influence on NO2-sensing performance improvement, and the optimized loading content could promote superior properties. Moreover, the influence of gas flow/pressure on AgNPs/rGO sensor properties is studied for applications in varied environments. The enhanced sensor performance may be attributed to more active sites and highly catalytic activity after AgNPs decoration.
