Abstract In this paper, we discuss a higher order quartic trigonometric B-spline collocation method on a uniform mesh for solving two special models of Lane-Emden boundary value problems. The error analysis and stability of the method is discussed. We obtain the reliable solution of the concentrations, effectiveness factor, and numerical results. Comparison shown that our method gives more accurate results than the methods of ADMGF (Singh and Kumar, 2014) and OHAM (Singh, 2018). Also our method gives better rate of convergence. The graph confirm the efficiency and applicability of the method.
