Abstract In this work, we present a top down approach method to synthesize the cupric oxide (CuO) and oxynickel (NiO) doped barium titanium trioxide (BaTiO3) material. The prepared doped BaTiO3 samples were tested with the powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy X-ray Dispersive (EDX), UV–visible spectra and Magnetization-Applied field (M-H) curves for finding their crystalline phase, particles topography, presence of chemical elements, optical band gap and magnetic nature. We detected an antiferromagnetism in the M-H curve for all the doped BaTiO3 samples.
