INTRODUCTION A utosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is a genetic disorder in which numerous cysts develop in the kidneys. It not only causes a partial or complete loss of kidney function but also substantially decreases quality of life because of chronic low back pain, abdominal fullness, loss of appetite, heartburn, or constipation. Herein, we revisit the effectiveness of renal transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE), which alleviates the symptoms associated with enlarged kidneys.
