OBJECTIVE This study aims to determine a change in mean arterial pressure (MAP), rollover test (ROT) and sFlt-1 level as a predictor of preeclampsia in an at-risk pregnant woman by giving ajwa dates. METHODS This research has been conducted at RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1 Makassar with a quasi-experimental method and prospective cohort using a pre-post control design test. The research subjects have consisted of 30 at-risk pregnant women given ajwa dates and ten risk-pregnant women who are not given ajwa dates. This research has been conducted for eight weeks. The intervention group is given 100g/day while the control group is given pregnancy nutrition counseling three times/week. Blood samples have been taken two times, 20 weeks gestation (pre-test), and 28 weeks gestation (post-test). Data are analyzed by using Wilcoxon and Manova Tests. RESULTS Wilcoxon test results in the pre-post intervention group have shown a decrease in the value of MAP (98.90-85.03), ROT (30.13-10.07), and SFLT-1 level (4.02-1.72) with sig. P<0.05, while the control group has obtained an increase in MAP values (96.70-102.30), ROT (30.40-30.00) and SFLT-1 levels (3.74-4.37) which are significant P>0.05. The logistic regression test has shown a MAP value of 0.005<0.05, which means the MAP has a prognostic value for risk-pregnant women of preeclampsia. CONCLUSION It can be concluded that there is a change of the decrease in the value of MAP, ROT, and SFLT-1 level in at-risk pregnant women of preeclampsia by giving ajwa dates at RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1 Makassar. It is expected that at-risk pregnant women regularly consume Ajwa dates to avoid preeclampsia.
