Abstract The boundary integral methods form one group of methods for solving differential equations. The boundary element method (BEM) is the basic method of this group. However, it requires the creation of a network of elements, and the calculation of relatively complex singular integrals. Therefore, new meshless methods have recently developed to remove these shortcomings. One is also the singular boundary method (SBM). To remove singularity, this method uses the concept of original intensity factors. In particular, the factors for the Dirichlet boundary condition are, however, the weak point of this method. The paper presents the regularization technique, which allowed to derive an effective way of determining these factors also for 3D tasks and thereby remedy this shortcoming.
