Take Home Message Our understanding of the mechanism of bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) in controlling urothelial carcinoma is still evolving. Studies have revealed a complex and multifaceted immune response. BCG-elicited adaptive antitumor immunity directed towards tumor antigens could have major implications for trial design.
