Abstract The high-voltage anode power supply for the electron cyclotron system is proposed based on the LCC resonance circuit. The working process of the LCC resonant converter in the capacitive region is studied, and an analytical model of the capacitive LCC circuit is proposed. The analysis points out the boundary between the capacitive area and the inductive area of the converter. Aiming at the voltage drop between on-load and no-load in the open-loop of the LCC circuit, the characteristics of the capacitive LCC resonant circuit are analyzed to optimize the resonance parameters. Experimental results show that the proposed analytical model has high accuracy, and the voltage drop in the open-loop is 11.7%, which verifies the correctness of the optimized design.
