Abstract A new methodology of the evaluation of the thermal/electrical properties of the skeleton of a porous material from measurements of the overall properties of this material saturated with various conductive fluids is proposed and numerically verified. The approach is based on the concept of equivalent microstructure and solution of the inverse homogenization problem in the framework of Mori-Tanaka-Benveniste micromechanical model.
