Abstract The investigation is a numerical evaluation on a 100 kWe MGT fed by gaseous renewables. Design indications provide that MGT works well with natural gas: the challenge is to identify the conditions of good performance by supplying biomass gas and solid waste gas. Although their different origins: the biomass gas derived from organic biodegradable waste; the other one from the municipal waste fraction, these fuels are similar in terms of compositions, mainly because they both are made of a percentage of syngas, CO/H2. So, this means hydrogen that has a particular combustion and develops high energy amount which could thermally overload the structure of the burner. There will be evaluated problems of settings because the gases both have not high LHV. Assuming full fluid-dynamic development, the combustion is reproduced via the k-e model. In the increasing awareness of the many toxic effect on environment and human health of NOx compounds, seen the latest regulatory which fix their final concentrations at one digit values: [NOx]
