Abstract Theoretical study of the Goos-Hanchen (GH) shift for a planar interface of ordinary dielectric and non-integer dimensional (NID) dielectric media is presented. It is assumed that medium is NID in direction normal to the interface. Effects of the NID parameter on absolute value of the reflection coefficient, its phase, and lateral displacement along the interface is noted. Both parallel and perpendicular polarized incidence are considered in this regard.
