Abstract The characteristic of an all-optical electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) analogue generated on GaAs substrate in terahertz (THz) region has been investigated. By increasing power of pump laser, a phenomena of EIT analogue emerged. It was found that the resonance frequency as well as the time delay can be dynamic tuned by controlling the power of pump laser, which displayed a blue shift by increasing the conductivity. Furthermore, the coupled Lorentz oscillator model has been used to analyze the physical mechanism of photo-generated EIT analogue as well. This approach may provide a reference for the design of the rapid tuning device.
