Abstract This paper applies three different integration algorithms, namely, unified auxiliary equation scheme, new mapping method and extended auxiliary equation criteria to Kudryashov's equation that studies optical solitons with four nonlinear terms. These schemes reveal Jacobi's elliptic functions, solitons and other solutions to the model. These are classified as bright, dark, singular and combo optical solitons.
