Highlights • IgG4-RM is exceedingly rare with only ten reported cases in the literatreu.• Diagnosis of IgG4-RM is based exclusively on histological analysis.• It is a benign chronic inflammatory process that can be treated sufficiently with excision or steroid.• Extensive whole body imaging is generally not recommended unless the patient is symptomatic.
