Highlights • Radical surgical treatment for prosthetic graft infections is still challenging.• Especially so for patients with extended-aortic prosthetic graft infection.• Redo total arch replacement while preserving prostheses with no abnormal FDG uptake.• All the resected tissues were positive for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis.• No signs of infection recurrence at 2 years postoperatively.
