Highlights • Lipomatous tumors of the adrenal glands are a diverse group of tumors that contain significant amount of adipose tissue.• They are usually benign, non-functioning tumors but have some malignant types such as liposarcoma.• Myelolipomas are the most common type of lipomatous tumors.• Another rare entity of lipomatous tumors of the adrenals is angiomyolipomas.• The management approach should be individualized for each case.
