Abstract In this work, the V40Ni31Ti29 alloy wires were acquired by casting, forging and drawing process. The transformation characteristics of the V40Ni31Ti29 alloy wires with dual-scale bcc-V were studied. The results suggest that B19′→B2 transformation peak temperatures are higher than 100 °C and decreases with the increasing annealing temperature. The transformation temperature range is about 80 °C, which is much higher than the results of NiTiV alloys with lower V element content. We propose that this result is closely related to the differrent plastic deforamtion of V nanowires and micro fibers. The B2↔R transformation temperatures increased after tension loading-unloading cycle, which is ascribed to the plastic deformation of V fibers.
